From the basics to the nitty gritty – learn about how trials are run, how safety is a top priority and how you can be compensated for your time and travel.
Clinical trials allow researchers to discover whether a new treatment is safe and effective to prevent or treat diseases.
To run an authorized trial and mitigate risk, regulators specify a protocol, which outlines how studies work.
You may be provided compensation for your time and willingness to be part of the research process.
Several committees are in place to ensure that clinical trials are ethical and that your health and safety are put first.
